definitely on the to-do list

it was (somehow) only three years ago that i bought a train ticket on a whim and rode from flint, michigan to portland, oregon. the train ride was three days long, which allowed me enough time to fill pages and pages of my notebook, shoot a few rolls of film, drink discounted cans of beer with the snack-car employee (who told me stories of living in chicago in the 1950’s,) and become friends with a couple of like-minded travelers.

and here i am, on the road again…
